Katie Williams- Dietitian

I am an Accredited Practicing Dietitian, graduating from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics. Dietitians are professionals in all things dietary and can assist with all medical problems directly or indirectly related to diet. We are the only profession recognised by the Australian Government to provide evidenced-based nutrition services such as individual dietary assessments; individualised meal plans based on medical and social backgrounds; providing nutritional counselling, support and education.

I became a Dietitian as I have a strong interest in health and have a passion for helping people. When deciding what I wanted to do when I finished school, I thought that the Dietitian profession sounded like the best fit for me. My favourite part of my job is seeing my patients reach their goals and make positive lifestyle changes. I also enjoy the social aspect of my job, which is getting to know my patients.

I can assist in all areas of nutrition but my main interests include:
-Weight management (both weight loss & malnutrition)
-Heart disease
-Diabetes management
-Food intolerances
-Gastrointestinal disorders
-Chronic disease management
-Cancer patients undertaking chemotherapy
